(beyond repair) Finally my question is .. does anyone know if a folding key is made for key in bottle ? any help would be greatly appreciated . I too saw this nice add-on after he did the coin/bottle penetration. I wish I could find the key as well. Hopefully CK is on the forum and could maybe hint us here.

The key is from Peter Cushing in England and was originally called 35B. I think you can still get them today. It is FAR superior to Mercedes Bends and it looks like a genuine small brass key of the type that might open a door lock.

I am pretty sure that Chris got the key custom made. Any custom coin craftsman that makes folding coins could make folding keys.

Wow what a great effect...any idea if magic dealers in the USA have them...it seems like this would become as popular as the folding coins....feel free to PM me if anyone can help!

Oops, I always get Peter Crush, Peter Cushing and that other guy (the one in the first Star Wars) confused!

I had one of those 35B keys years ago, I certainly regret getting rid of it though...
Peter Crush? I always thought it was Bobby Crush. Or was that piano keys...? Dr Zordas |

If you can contact them, Presto Magic is the company where Peter had the effect made (titled Uni-Key)
I've tried to contact them through email (they have a phone number, but I live in the US and don't want to call internationally) without any luck to see if they still make them as I have a unikey I bought used, however it did not come with a duplicate ungimmicked key. If anyone has any luck contacting them, let me know! Thanks! Ryan |

Todd Lassen made the keys for Chris Korn. He made them with the rubber band on the inside, as in the folding coins where the band groove is hidden.
Todd also has a new technology for making expanded shells. He is going to start hallmarking his work too. tpdmagic |

Gee Todd, any idea what something like that would run???
Your choices in life can be compared to watching a magic trick: You can continue to believe the illusion in front of you, find the intrigue and desire to learn more, or quit paying attention the moment you feel deceived.

I have a UNI-KEY 3 with a duplicate ungimmicked key. The problem is the rubberband broke and over time it melted in the groove. So now I can't remove it. Maybe with a very fine blade you can enter the groove and remove the rubber, I don't know. If you are interested I will be happy to deal it with something else.

Joe Porper makes a version that looks like a standard schlage key. I've not seen one personally, but I do have several of his items and they are incredible. I believe I saw it on Hocus-Pocus website.
