Well, it's not quite magic related, but it's card related....
Let's just pretend I'm working on an Omaha routine for serious card players. Anyways, I'm an ok Hold 'em player, but a shockingly bad Omaha player. I owe any skill I have in Hold 'em to books by Brunson, Caro, and Sklansky. Does anyone know a good book that covers Omaha in depth similar to the coverage of Hold 'em in "Super System"? Thanks in advance for any recommendations. Paul

Omaha high only? The best book is THE BEST OF CAPPELLETTI ON OMAHA. Mike's a good guy (I played at some tables with him in Maryland) and recommend this book. You can find it at http://www.gamblersgeneralstore.com/ , Code: 80196, Price: $14.95.
I can also recommend two books on Omaha high/low: How to Win at Omaha High-Low Poker. Mike Cappelletti. Cardoza Publishing. ISBN: 1580421148. $19.95. (available in most larger bookstores) Winning Omaha 8 Poker. Mark Tenner and Lou Krieger. ConJelCo (http://www.conjelco.com/ ). ISBN: 1886070199. $24.95. (available from ConJelCo and in some bookstores) If you have any questions, feel free to PM or email me. |

Just a note, but omaha is WAY easier than holdem....
Most of the people try to play it like holdem, and when they fail, they call the game harder... It is actually very easy, but you have to play it like omaha, not holdem. I am probably preaching to the choir, but I just wanted to say that for any aspiring omaha players, so they don't get intimidated. |
