Cactus Pete from "Blockbuster Magic" by Bob McAllister.
You cut to the 4 Aces one at a time, but instead of placing them face down on the table, I like to place them on spectator's palms and then have them place their other hand on top to sandwich the card between their hands. I use 3 spectators to hold 3 of the Aces. When I cut to the 4th Ace, it turns out that I had cut to a King instead. I tell them that's because Cactus Pete was KING of the Card Sharks. I ask them to look at the card between their hands and they are surprised to find Kings instead of Aces.

Did somebody say the one handed top palm is easy... or the snap change? What? The snap change maybe, but it's VERY angle sensitive. I like overkill as well... (I know someone mentioned it.) I've also gotten great reactions to "further than that." I've heard some people comment that they don't like it, but when I throw in a couple false shuffles, people are blown away!

I love B'Wave! I use the handling in David Eldridge's "Mind Control" video and book.

Eugene Burger's "Psychic Sense" is an excellent routine, requiring nothing but subtlety to make it work.

"The Singed Card" by Bro. John is one of my personal favorites. There are also a variety of really neat things you can do with a just a simple Double Lift.

Hmm...I believe he asked for EASY effects. I do not consider the snap change or one-handed top palm to be easy moves. These moves take time to master, and they are almost "no-brainers" once you get them down, but it can be a long journey.

That being said, I would like to submit the following "Easy" trick (though I believe there are no "easy" tricks)as a suggestion..

Daryl's "Untouched"

NO sleights!

NO gimmicks!

learn it today!! (this sounds like one of those dealer ads..) Smile

An easy but powerful trick that I do is Soulmates from the Dummies book and the second trick that K describes which I fondly call "A drink too many". I just changed the handling to it.

Jeff you are right on two points.

One, this should be about easier effects and

Two, Daryl's "Untouched" is a great and it's easy.

What a great topic.
I recently learned "Play It Straight Triumph," it is a fantastic, easy card trick, created by John Bannon. Easy as can be and very effective.
Though I don't perform this, I do do it for friends, Card to wallet that is. I do a very simple version. Force a card that I have a duplicate in my wallet. Then I say, "hmm, I don't see your card in the deck, well I always keep a spare in my wallet." For some reason, I always get a great reaction from it.
