I think for me personally it's Prefiguration by Larry Jennings, a seemingly under appreciated trick. Four way cooincidence with a prediction, the spectator can shuffle the deck, and the only move is a quick and easy cull of two cards. I put my own presentation together that turns this from a simple trick into a real miracle for the audience. I get great reactions from this effect.
I also like shufflebored, especially after I modified the original handling so the middle packet becomes part of the mixing process. And Aces in Their Faces has got to be one of the strongest and yet easiest version of the collectors plot ever.

Hello and good day, happy Café members!
Any idea where I could find Vernon's "Japanese transposition" in print?? Did my own research but not a single clue... Thanks in advance! Gilles

You might want to start a new thread about that, you might get more responses that way.

Harry Lorayne's "Lazy Man's Card Trick" is embarrassingly easy but really packs a huge punch.
I also love Lorayne's "Out of this Universe". Each time I perform this, I think, "This can't possibly work," but it does - every time. I get as big of a kick out of this as do the spectators. John Bannon's "Beyond Fabulous" is also very strong and another one that amazes even me when I perform it. |
