Is this T&R really SO exceptional !?
Here is what I found on other forum about seamless : [http://forums.singaporemagiccircle.com/ar/t3802.htm] >The effect has been discontinued, true. But if you want a review on it, I can >give it to you. >It is too angle sensitive. It shows up good on palour and camera but never on a >close up audience. At some point the effect requires heavy misdirection and also >other aspects are not shown in the demo clip he posted on his site and Magic >Video Depot. >I strongly suggest other good T&R effects like fusion, reparation, etc. but this. >Half of a magician's dream that came true, but kind of impractical. OR >I'm a fanatic about the one at a time restoration type of effects. In my opinion >Seamless is extremely tough to pull off convincingly, especially the final piece. >Handling is awkward. Still, the 3rd piece is brilliant. >I still use Hollingworth's - in my opinion the best in terms of concept, method >and effect. So it sound like a 'usual' T&R. On the other hand, I saw the seamless video which is very convincing ! Maybe there are 2 versions of seamless....A great looking but completely gimmicked and 'normal' one. Maybe this explain why it was taken out of market (creates confusion). Nicolas |

There is only 1 version of Seamless. Angle sensitive? HA! There is as much angle sensitivity with this as there are in almost ALL T & Rs. Like Hollingworths, Garcias, Lovicks. The only reason someone may have negative things to say about it are because they havent practiced enough to make it look as good as it does in the video. I know Glenn uses this T & R above all other T & Rs, and it looks like it dies in the video all the time. Glenn is a VERY creative magician, and I hope 1 day he releases a DVD of all his magic

Well, I was going to say something but Christopher Williams said it all.
I've actually done Seamless surrounded. Not that I suggest it, or imply that it is ment for that kind of situation, but if you are good with spectator managment, and audience control, it is possible.

I'm one of the lucky few (supposedly) to have this effect.
I love it...it has become one of my most requested effects in the past year. Magicians and laymen love it. Thanks, Glenn!!!

I also got this quite some time ago from glenn, its a killer effect that I recommend to any torn and restored fan. It'll bring in lots of ideas into your head too if you plan to create one.I remember he was in a situation where some guys were trying to reveal Seamless on a exposure forum so Glenn had to take it off the market. Maybe that's why he hasnt put it on yet.

I too, have this effect. The effect is so impossible to construct from a laymen's perspective... and it looks so clean!

Holy $@#t, I think that could be the best t&r I have ever seen. Just fantastic. I have been doing Torn by DG for quite some time but WOW is all I have to say about this.
How does this compare to Torn as far as angles and difficulty? Sorry if this was already answered... |
