The Denny & Lee Performance Video is a great example of Shomanship, Magic, and Comedy. It is not an explanation video, but one can learn a lot about the true joy of performing magic, and how to entertain, which is the ultimate mission that we as magicians should strive for.

The video is mostly shot with one camera, and is not a true professional quality video production, however Denny makes this clear in his description. Sound, color balance and view are not always perfect, however this does not detrack from the learning value.

Denny opens with the Sword Basket with some great byplay with Lee. The Cut Off hand section is pure entertainment.

Next come Gene Anderson’s Newspaper Tear, followed by a great rouitine with an Egg Bag. The Egg Bag performance is another example of pure magical entertainment and not to be missed.

A Sword Suspense follows, which leads into some Card Magic sequence. This maniplulative section is very well performed.

An extended version of Razer Blades & String from the mouth follows, while this is not my cup of tea the musical changes and Denny’s acting ability make it a great study guide.

The Mulitipling Bottles is another outstanding performance piece which is extremely funny.

The last Illusion is the Canvas Cover Box Escape & Exchange.

The important parts of this video are the intereaction with the audience, the abilty of Denny to show his love of magic and comedy and past that on to the audience and his extra touches that made the performance special. It is a great example of showmanship.

Even if you do not learn anything from this video, you will enjoy the magic and pure entertainment value which can not be understated.
