Hi
Does anyone know if the doves to girl that Rick does is available in the market, and if so who is building it?
You can see him perform it on his site (which by the way is great) http://www.rickthomas.com

It's on the regular video and it blew me away. Maybe there are plans for this Illusion on the market, if so this would be great.

Thanks

It was built by Creative Illusions but I don't think they are still in business.

Doveboy who is on the Café has one which I believe he's selling. Maybe you can try to PM him.

Lance also has that in his show. Yeah no one makes it anymore that I know. Creative Illusions is not in business anymore. What happen to them? They had some cool stuff come out of there place.

I believe Creative Illusions dissolved after the death of Ken Whittaker, one of the founders. They had some quite intriguing material, and it would be nice if there was another company to (ethically) carry one the production of their stuff.

I'm pretty sure that the name of the prop is the "Gemini Cage". I'm pretty sure that those that own them don't really want to part with them.

Who is to think such a product is in demand. However I am sure you can find the product. And Jermy who are you to be talking about ethics?

Yes, the cage is definitely the "Gemini Cage" and is outstanding. I only recently saw how it is done, it's a great finale

The question is -- "Who are YOU, to be knocking Jeremy for hoping that someone would produce that illusion ethically?" I'm sure that Jeremy meant just that, with permission from whoever it is that owns the rights to the illusion, such as Ken's estate.

If this is the case, and I feel that it is, why are you knocking Jeremy.

You hide behind an alias. Most of us don't.

All of us who know people who create illusions have the right to expect to see ethical practices in magic. And all of us who are members of the various organizations that demand ethics in magic have the right to expect ethical practices.

Regarding Rick Thomas -- he has a levitation that is very clever. It combines several old ideas in a very ingenious manner, plus a couple of new ones.

And anyone who knocks it off would be lower than amoeba droppings.

You may try at Tilford, if I am not mistaken they had it in thier stock.

I just saw Rick Thomas show in Vegas and it was grate show. I bought the DVD of the show and you can see most of the illusion at the show and more. Highly recommended.

Tilford sold another version...Not from Creative Illusions. The cage didn't vanish.....the dove in the cage transform to a gal.

I may wish to part mine cos another illusionist from my country, work with this Gemini Cage in all his show ALL the time......I seldom use mine except my Chalet dove to Chihuahua or sometimes my Proline cage or Vanishing dove carousel....hence it seem most of the people in my country seen this Gemini Cage effect....

If anyone intersted , please PM me...the Gemini cage is close to new & The Encore ATA case is in rather good condition...since mine is the last batch built by Creative Illusion in May 2002, Ken passed away in July...becoming a collector item.....I will part with US$7000 plus postage from Singpapore.....another one interested, please PM me....thanks Smile

Thanks for all the input guys.
I build most of my own illusions here in the U.K as there are not many builders over here and I get a massive hit of tax for anything I import from the states. Also I find that when I make an illusion myself I can customise it far better to suit my needs I'm sure some of you guys have similar thoughts.
Does anyone know who holds the rights to this illusion as I would be interested oin contacting them.

Many Thanks

I think Rick's show is great and that he is a great guy. A friend of mine work backstage with the tigers and my friends and I got to talk to Rick and take pictures with the tigers including a cub that we got to pet until he got playful/started nipping our hands.
