In Fooler Doolers Vol 3, Daryl uses a 4-5 inch ring that has a nice thickness to it. I seem to recall he mentions something about a harness ring. Does anyone know where to obtain a similar ring or suggest a suitable ring for such a routine?

You can also get them at a tack shop.

A store where one can obtain many items that are useful if you work with horses.

I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

Craft shops may have large rings, especially if they sell macrame supplies.

If you have access, try a boating and watercraft supply store. This is where I've always purchased mine. They have them in the rigging department.

I like the barbed wire rings in your picture, Christoper, which gives rise to the question; why not fashion one from a piece of barbed wire. In a rural area any fence shop should have a short piece laying around enuff for a 4 or 5 inch dia ring. Get a welder to tack the ends together or do like Jim Wilder says and stop by a tack shop or saddlery.
