This Section needs livening up! Here's my contribution.
When you took your children to the zoo when they were little; or if they are little, when you take them now, - how do you explain to them the quite uninhibited sexual antics, displays and anatomical structures that the other of God's creatures we share this planet with display? Tony. |

Personally, never had to deal with it....but...Last week we were at the San Diego Zoo and the Rhino was laying down and had drawn a small crowd. Suddenly the Rhino got up and was rather 'on display' (BIG time) two little kids were in histerics...the mom seemed non-plussed but the other folks looked embarassed as hell and moved off to other enclosures.
Ah...our Animal Planet. But to answer your question...what do you tell the kids when they watch the crotch-centric nonsense that passes for TV? I would think it would be much easier to narrate a Rhino Moment than an episode of Desperate Housewives. Doug

The highlight of every schoolchild's trip to the zoo seems to be the monkey that has the big red bum.

Last time I said to my wife, look at that, I fancy a bit of that do you, she said not myself, but if you ask it nicely it might let you.

Why does this ex-Royal Navy guy always have me nearly falling off my chair laughing? Nice one Clive.
Nice one Doug about TV too! We clearly could sit talking for hours about the world in 2004/5 (grumpy old men?) Tony. |
