If you're always carrying it in your pocket maybe you could load it in one hand and make it appear on the fingers of your other hand. At least I use that for pencils and little wands and it gets very good reactions from laymen. Then you could perform any trick with it, perhaps the Card Stab could work well. A good detail for that trick, I think, would be to be performed with something completly ordinary (like a screwdriver, for example), couse' it gives a more casual impression for the spectator.

Have you ever seen someone hammer a nail into their head? (Through the nose)
This DONE FOR REAL illusion could be done with a screwdriver under the guise of you having a loose screw that needs adjusting. Used at any point in any effect that wasn't perfect and needs some tweeking. Takes some practice not gagging. (5 or 6 inches in length) I use a small kitchen skewer and have it loaded in my nose to look like I'm wearing a nose ring. Then I say, "I'm not crazy, I wouldn't pierce my body". Then slowly pull out the obviously solid steel skewer, which proves I'm crazy.

Stick it in your nose, like they said. Great reactions!
Also, you could use it as a wand for ring on wand/striking vanish moves. Screwdriver thru cup ala cups and balls, even a variation for Stirring silver (sankey) could work. If you could somehow trigger the LED without plugging it in (maybe a hidden battery), it would be great for card locations (like car buggy type) or other mentalism.

What might be cool would be to have it turn into one of those little cans of adult beverages... in this case obviously a "screwdriver" and pour it into a glass ala "Sucker Silk to Soda Can" by Robert Baxt.
Lots of details to work out, you might need a special gaffed screwdriver and beverage can, but just an idea. GlenD

Nornb,
Try this... purchase a duplicate screwdriver. Take it apart and rig it with a micro switch to operate the bulb inside the handle... then, strap a magnet to your upper leg (under your trousers) so that when you're seated with your legs under the table, and you pass the screwdriver directly above the magnet, the micro switch will turn the light on... Now, do your favorite card revelation/control, spreading the cards face down on table (knowing where the selected card is in the spread) Position your leg magnet directly below their card and pass the screw driver slowly across the cards... when it passes directly above their card, PRESTO!!! It lights up... WOW... REAL MAGIC!!!! Then switch the gimmicked screwdriver for the original, and lay it on the table for inspection. Dave Oops! Forgot to mention... Radio Shack carries micro switches. I believe you'll need one that is 'normal open' type. Dave

Dough by Sankey. Just use the screwdriver instead of a pencil.

I don't know if this has already been said (as I quickly scanned the previous posts), I have an idea if you're looking for just a little quicky, not a full routine. You could use the screw driver to strike vanish small things. Maybe a screw, nut, or bolt. You could do parts of Gregory Wilson's Recap with a screw and screw driver.
