Hi all,
Does anyone know of any ring flights that do not travel to a key case, other than flight 204? I'm thinking along the lines of it going to a normal keyring. cheers, Ben |

Some other possibilities mentioned elsewhere on the Café are RinKey Dinky and Jeff Stewart's Ring Thing. You might also want to check out this site which lists many ring flights available:

One of the very best flights I've seen is the one with Archangel by the guys from the Enchantment. Love it!

One of the BEST ring flights I have ever seen was at a lecture about 5 or 6 years ago. I don't remember his name, but basically the ring appeared stuck inside of his coat along with tons of other jewelry like watches and earrings. He offered them their choice becuase he "lost" their ring and then revealed the ring. It was a very comedic and different approach to ring flight. I'm still scared to use ring flight at my restaurant because of all of the horror stories I've heard...that and my ring flight isn't the best - very noisy with a lot of snap.

I got Derik Dingles last notes and he has a ring flight routine that I was going to try. So I appreciate all this information.
Thanks and Merry Christmas |

I'm not sure where to see a demo of Ringer. If you don't mind using sleight of hand for the vanish, and some routining, you'll love it. Imagine putting the ring in one hand and pulling your key ring from your pocket and giving them a choice of which they'd like. Show that the ring has vanished from the hand that they thought it was in and you move the other hand out of the way to show that their ring is on the key ring, alongside the key(s). It takes a while to remove the key, because you turn a threaded ferrule on the key ring to release the ring.
It looks great and it obviously floors people when I use it! There's no funny move to bring about the effect. It's easy to use a straightforward handling with it. I got mine from Hank Lee, but maybe you could get them directly from Steve Dusheck. |

You peeked my intrest. I have never really had a solid ring effect. Just play around with them. But yea I need to do a search on this. Around how much does it go for?

It's probably in the $35 to $40 range. You'd have to contact the inventor to find out how to obtain one. A web search turned up nothing current on it.

Thanks for the kind words Alan and Vinny. Ringer costs $30.00. The price is low because I do not sell it wholesale to magic shops. There are 8 pages of instructions so you are not limited to one routine or one vanish. There is no "Best" finger ring to key ring trick. You have to find the one that is right for you. I have most of the versions being sold and continue to buy the new versions. Ringer works best for me. That does not mean it will work best for you. I think Alan and Vinny will agree that it is important to be extremely good looking if you want to perform Ringer.
Best wishes, Steve

I have tried a bunch of ring flights and always come back to the Morelli Ring by Collector's Workshop. I have loved it since I was a kid when I used to watch Rich Bloch demo it at the MagiFest. Luckily fellow Café member Michael Dustman had a spare lying around and was willing to part with it. I've been using it ever since. Viking no longer makes it but said they are thinking about re-making it in the near future. Only $35. The best part is that it's simple. You set it up and it's ready when you are. No reels and no danger to the ring.

Ok maybe I'm not doing this right but I cannot find this effect. Can someone send me a link? Also what about this effect? It looks pretty good. Any real reviews.
