Knowing how many here prefer Tallys to Bicycles, but find the price a touch prohbitive, I stumbled on what appears to be a good cheap source.
I haven't bought from them to verify, but if anyone wants Tally-Hos's in quantity (they only sell by case, I believe - 12 packs a case),

http://www.filmart.com/cgi-bin/filmart/TALHPC.html

is selling them for $1.50 a pack/12, which comes to only $18.
I also can't tell if they're circle back or fan back, but you could always call and ask I guess.
If anyone buys from them, let us know ?

Also, I apologize if anyone feels this post belongs in the dealers forum, but it is card specific, so I posted here.

I think you need a resale or state tax ID to order from here, but the price is great.
I will try to give them a call this week to find out. I don't need any cards right now but its nice to know the opportunity is there.
Thanks Cyberhagen - by the way, what exit are you from? Pike or Parkway?

Shipping seems to be a lot too, $10 for 12 decks.
So it comes to $28 for 12 decks. that's $2.33 for each deck.

But if you buy 24 decks, the shipping is still $10, and $46 for 24 decks. Which ends up coming to $1.92 per deck.

And if you buy 36 decks, with $10 shipping, $64 for 36 decks, so 1.77 per deck.

So Im thinking about getting 24 decks, which would come to $46.

Just don't want them all to be the same back design Smile

Well ya, but if you buy them this cheap at one point you won't have to buy cards for a long long time Smile

Anyone tried this site yet?

I sent an email to ask about the shipping and the backs on the cards, as well as whether or not you need a tax id, but I have not gotten a reply yet. When I do, I will be sure to post. Further bulletins as events warrant.

Neither, actually. I live near Delran, south Jersey. I'm about 15 minutes from Philly, by the Delaware River and the Rancocas Creek. I guess Pike-wise, I'd be exit 5 or 6, but still miles away.
I didn't notice anything about dealers only here, I apologize if they're not open to the general public and I got anyone's hopes up. I think even with shipping (cards get heavy to ship !)one case is an awesome deal.

Why do you think they want a tax ID ? Just wondering. On the site, they're for professional and amateur photographers, I poked around a bit and didn't see anything that led me to believe they didn't sell to the general public, although I'm sure they'll take a Tax ID if you have one to submit.

Sounds like a good deal I need to give them a call, but I guess it just sucks to throw 10 dollars for shipping.

I don't know - just assumed (I know I know)
Everytime I have ever found a good price, it was only for wholesalers. They never emailed back, by the way.

So just curious where do we stand on the issue?
I'm just wondering whether it is a bargain or not. I mean I love the cards its just the 10 dollar shipping. I know I'm going to end up getting them its just X-mas killed me.

Well on kardwell the shipping is even more than that. and 10 bucks shipping for a few dozen decks is actually really good.

$10 for shipping a case of cards is not bad at all. Cards get heavy fast, as you stack them up.
Also, don't forget to think in terms of sales tax saved: 6% (or whatever your state would hit you up for) isn't much, but it's something. I would deduct it from the shipping as the true amount of overhead cost. [ .94 x $10 = $9.40. ]
Simply put, I haven't seen a cheaper source yet, shipping or no shipping.

BTW, why are circle backs preferred over fan backs ? I'm kinda partial to the fanbacks myself. I have one deck I won on eBay, just to see what all the hubbub was about.

I have circle backs and I wanted fan backs. What is the difference anyways? Also only 6% slaes tax, wow. Here in Tennessee it is like 9.5948372 (okay, yes, those are random digits at the end.) Still that is almost and extra 10% on purchases!

The difference between fan backs and circle backs are of course the back design.LOL j/k! I've been asking many people that and they just seem to think that fan backs are ugly from a poll that I took off 10 people. I like both but since I like doing fan, I prefer to use fan backs because they look better. I don't think there's a real signigicant difference, I just think it has to do with personal preference.
I use http://www.pokerchips.com but I'm trying to find a cheaper source.

I like the look of fan backs, myself. They look mysterious. Circle backs just look common and cliche'd, IMHO of course.
