I saw on Hank's site the Escalator by Gaetan Bloom. The video shows a very cool image of a card movin up and down in a pack. This is good for sandwich tricks, and ambitous card routines I assume. Also a cool visual thingy. The video seemed like he was fussin with something for a minute, and I cant wait to find out what that is. I would think theres something going on around the same route as exit51. But it looks mechanical?? and really cool!!! $ 94.95 is LOOT! do you think it comes with some crazy gimmick stuff? It seems like costs are rising, but the technology is getting cooler too...
Another trick I heard about directly from Jay Sankey. I was tellin him I wanted to send him some Cigapens, and he was responding. He told me about his new trick called MERCURING. Its "coming out in Feb. Killer walkaround illusion with a ring. Examinable, visual, magical!" Sounds awesome aswell. I was telling him that this closeup, super visual, clean stuff is very much needed. Whats better than clean, great looking magic (other than hot chicks or millions of dollars). |

I don't know how the Escalator works but I emailed Hocus-Pocus customer service and they replied to me you can hand everything out for examination before and after.

I can't imagine Hocus Pocus telling you that because it simply is not true and they are very honest dealers. I would re-read their reply and be sure how it is worded. You can hand the CARDS out for examination before and after. You can not hand out "everything" for examination.

Thanks runawayjag,
You are exactly right. I am the person who answered that email. I clearly stated that the " deck " could be handed out before and after the effect. That is all I said! This is a great effect! Hocus Pocus has this in stock for immediate delivery. Paul Gross Owner Hocus Pocus |

Paul: But will it load a bill in a lemon? (sorry 'bout that.)
Is it at all possible that HP will EVER add PayPal so I can buy all this neat exclusive stuff you offer? (if you've answered this before I appologize) Thanks Doug

I've seen the Escalator performed. It is a wonderful item. Very well made and will fool you, even when you know how it works.

I really like the way it works, and looks! I would like to congradulate the inventor, its a sick idea! and it works! I don't know if I could afford the 100 bills for a card trick... maybe when Im rich...
And stphotog, off topic a little? I don't care though. I heard that this trick is NOT all that good. Do a search for it in the Café... theres a topic... not to good though I guess... |

I think that a fake ring and gimick are a little bit pointless for MERCURING when you can get the exact same effect with no gimicks and a borrowed ring....

To see a video of Mercuring: http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=972
Although not a major expense, I would like to read a few reviews from people who have one before I make my own purchase. Iven

Well, since its unpublished(AFAIK) you probably aren't privy to it, but you can do the same thing about pulling a borrowed finger ring from finger to finger un-gimicked....
Just saying, I think the gimick is pointless when you can do the exact same thing gaffless.... |
