So 2005 here we go!
Just wondering when you first became aware of dates and years. When was it? Me? I remember one Christmas looking at all the gifts my father received from travelling salesmen he met at his place of employment. Amongst the boxes of 500 cigarettes, pens etc. was a Diary. It said 1957!! Ahhhhhhhgh! Happy New Year to All. Tony. |

Interesting question. I don't remember when I first became aware of dates.
I can remember my 3rd birthday but as far as the date goes I only remember being told that it was coming and each day being count down. Iven

I believe, for me, it was 1979 when I really started to pay attention to that.

When did you first notice what year it was? is one of the most obtuse questions I have come across. This question could be used as a good way to engague some NLP hooks.
As I was a little collector I was aware of dates at an early age. I collected coins and first day issue stamps. I must have been 5 when I remember sorting out my coins by date. I remember my oldest english penny at the time was 1892 and in my stamp collection I had some predecimal stamps (donated by an older person) with the first issue of the decimal stamps. So I would answer your funky question with Five.

I'll tell you the first time I started forgetting dates. When I was thirty four I spent the first 6 months thinking I was already thirty five!

The first time I understood what Birthdays were..must have been about 5years old.
Now..after 59 of them...I'm not interested in them anymore. Howard |
