I'll keep this short because any elaboration is unjustified for this practical joke product.
This is nothing more than a mousepad folded within a plastic wallet. My mousepad was blue when I recieved it. I felt like a total fool when I opened it. I didn't even try and make myself like it, instead I placed my mouse on it in exchange for my old one. I figured I might as well get something out of it. I expected a velvet pad at the very least. This is not very professional looking nor recommended for use in the public. You would be better served by crafting your own. 0 out of 5 stars. |

I will add my two cents here: the pad is not poorly constructed, and is actually very well made for what it is. It comes in a faux leather checkbook style case, and folds open as you would a checkbook. The problem that I have with it, and that I assume ReyRey has, is that the pad is solid neoprene, and has no give to it, as most close-up pads do. While some like this type of pad (this is the type of Pad Trevor Duffie markets), it is more difficult to do a variety of moves, and if you are doing a matrix routine, the card is noticeably raised off the mat(unless you place a strong crimp in the cards). That being said, I do use this, and will continue to use this until I build my own portable mat (I am a professional cabinetmaker, so I have plans to build a very deluxe model for myself. When I do, I will post a notice here, though the price will be high. And no, I am NOT soliciting pre-orders!)

I love the little thing....as a Mentalist, I like to travel light, and this is ideal for things like placing keys to be chosen, dice, etc....just makes the presentation look that little more professional.
If you are needing a mat for more intense work, this is NOT the mat for you.... Pete |
