Maybe a book or video will help you. Michael Ammar has a great video. maybe he has a book. but he has a video.

When you get into the restricted area (51 posts) there is a section for IT.
Hope too see you there soon!

Videos are always good some with book there good to I suggest you get the ufo card in that book it teaches you the ufo card trick and other tricks you can do with IT I know for sure you can get one at http://www.houdini.com but I don't know anywhere else.
You could also do telepathy stuff like make spoons and things move that's always fun when people get the snot scared out of them. |

Best thing to do is to get started by buying videos or books. I recommend Jon Leclair's DVD "Who's Afraid of IT?". Michael Ammar's set is also amazing.

And be sure to check out Fearson's hookup and his famous cigarette routine. If done well, it's sure to get a strong reaction.

Check out Animated Miracles by Yigal Mesika. I think that there is a second book to this that just came out.
Ash_arani mentioned "Who's afraid of IT" DVD, that good stuff. Highly recommended if you are not sure which direction to go with your new tool. |

Sometimes it's better to just make things move rather than a full float

Make a selected card jump right out of a deck.
Twirl a playing card around your body. Make a business card stand up straight on the back of your hand. Float a pretzel into your mouth. Float a ring onto somebody's finger. Those should get you started. |

I sometime ask for a cleenex and make it float in front of them.
I give the cleenex back to them for inspection |

Use the Fearson Hook Up and float a French Fry. The french fry looks like a cigarette anyway.
Check out John Kennedy's Visible Coins to Glass. Make objects move using psychokinesis. |

Strongly suggest you to start of with eighter the LeClair DVD mentioned above, or his book. It's great for learning about IT. Check it out at: http://www.leclairanimator.com/products/index.cfm

KaydoWhoa, I couldn't agree more. If you float something, people will generally suspect thread. Not so, I feel, with animated effects.
There is plenty of material out there - much of which has been mentioned above. But as said, 'think outside the box' - come up with what you want to do, and then think of an application for IT. |
