I do. In fact, before the thumbanator I had to use minis just to do open thumb cuts. Fanning them can be tricky, but they always seem to get a laugh, especially if you do a few classic moves like springing them (the sound alone is hilarious)and doing one handed cuts. You can also do far more as far as packet displays because their size makes them far more easy to manipulate and wedge into more places. BTW, I feel you get more milage out of minis if you use normal size first. This way the contrast is far more evident in the eyes of the spectators.

They look GREAT for giant fans!

Buahaha.

another interesting aspect, is that if you use a larger deck (like dragon fanning), manipulating a normal deck seems easier. after playing around with a mini deck, the normal deck feels cumbersome.

I was playing around with the mini deck today and got the fans down. it looks 'pretty', b/c so small.

I also noticed how many different ways you can palm a card. Tenkai, downs, classic, finger - the possibilities suddenly got expanded a great deal.

And they spin much better, for some reason - probably b/c of shorter fulcrum arm.

Haven't tried springing them, but sounds like it'd be tough...

Next thing on my list: preparing them for back palms and split fan productions! It would be funny, perhaps, or make classical card manipulation good for close up.

Giant fans with mini decks? Haha I gotta try that. Ive tried the werm and some displays and sybil with them, tried a aerial too, impossible. Haha, well might not be, havent ractised much.

I love giant fans so ill try that out. But mini decks don't fan very well. Anyone fanning powdered their mini deck? Might be a nice idea.

WHat about a tripple giant fan, mini cards on the inside, then normal and then jumbo cards, Will be kinda impossible to hold like that, they´ll slip away but fun idea in my opinion.

Hey,

I know, the thought of giant fanning a mini deck made me laugh. You'd end up with a 'normal' fan =)

My cards fan okay...it requires a little adjusting and getting used to, but I can fan okay. Later when the cards get dirty I'll probably need some powder. One handed fans look very elegant, though, b/c you can hold it with just the index and thumb.

Can't really do a pressure fan, though - more just a vanilla two-handed fan, with extra care given to the rate at which you 'unfan'. The neat thing is that you can make a complete circle (almost) and hold the whole thing in one hand.

They're a lot easier to do a deck toss w/ tho. Could maybe even juggle them. That's a thought. Juggling 156 cards!

Does anyone know stores that sell bike (or any decent brand) mini decks in the US? I'm using this 10 cent papery deck as a "prize" from Dave and Buster's right now for certain moves. I ordered some from USPC, but they would probably get here faster if I personally rode a segway across the country to Ohio.

Hey, at least some XCM: er hanging aroind here must have tried fanning powdering a deck.

Just wanting to see how successful it was as the finish is 100% different on mini decks.

Karen,

try long's drugs or the equivalent (call ahead), and maybe walmart/target as well. where are you located? I could also mail you some, there's a longs that stocks it near my house.

harwin - you got me. I'll try it tonight and let you know how it goes. I think the powder will feed well. we'll see.

Restoration Hardware by me (North Carolina) has had Jumbo and Mini bikes in both colors for the past few weeks. I don't know if this is a brief thing, or if they're carrying them full time.

I'm in Texas, we don't really have anything here but poker bikes and other random cartoon decks. I just ordered some from kardwell.com, hoping that they get here soon.

Cardjinx - where did you hear that xtremehandz is getting those card variants? Haven't seen any word of it on HL forums.

Mcmc, they were $2.50 for minis, $15 for jumbos. They were at the Southpoint Mall Restoration Hardware in Durham, NC. As for other posts on manipulations, I've found it nearly impossible to do any kind of sleight beyond a DL with a jumbo deck, while stuff like one-handed cuts are very easy with minis. Changing regular bikes into minis is also neat looking. (I do this with single cards, not whole decks). Good luck to everyone in your respective endeavors with jumbos and minis.

Kevin

Forgot to add before - these jumbos and minis are not made in Ohio like your standard bikes, but are made in China. I can't faro the mini's like I can a normal deck. They're not as flexible. That could also be due to their small dimensions.

Seen one guy do 4 ace productions with jumbo decks but that's basically it.
