Thanks for all the great info. I checked out Tims handwashing technique and it's great. Exactly what I was looking for. The main thing is it doesn't look like a move is happening. It's about as natural as handwashing can get. It's quick, simple and does the job. I much prefer that style over the hand to hand acrobatics that some techniques use. Thanks Tim. Just what was needed.

Regardless of the HandWashing technique used (I have my own) I think it is essential that you do a natural handwashing gesture at other times in your routine. If the only time you use it is just after an "in hand vanish" it could create suspicion rather than deflect it, i.e. introduce "skill" as a factor.

Hi Funsway, that's something I hadn't considered, using a handwashing when you are not holding anything would give some continuity to your actions and draw suspicion away when you do one after a coin vanish. Great tip.
