I'm looking for some good books on comedy magic. What I mean is, what comedy magicians regard as the bibles of comedy magic, like rrtcm is a bible of card magic etc. And another thing if anyone has ADD COMEDY TO YOUR ACT by LOU DERMAN and wished to part with it give me a pm.

Aldo Colombibi's Make 'em Laugh is the only one I know of in my own knowledge.

Yeah I know the book. I was looking for something different. I mean a good book which tells you how to improve your act and visual gags etc.

I suggest reading Steve Allen's "How To Be Funny" and "Funny People", Gene Perret's comedy writing books, and Rich Belzer's stand-up comedy book. Then decide how to incorporate the magic. Good luck.

Belzer's book stinks! I would suggest Judy Gold's book way ahead of Belzer's. Belzer's book was funny but not very informative as the "How To". I believe Sankey has a book that may be in line of what you are looking for, but I haven't read it yet.

I would also suggest observing performers such as Mullica, Jonathan and Anderson. All funny, funny men. Remember. I said OBSERVE, not STEAL! Good luck.

I don't think there is a "bible" of comedy magic. You're better off reading about comedy in general and then applying it to magic. There are a few threads on here with recommendations of comedy books.

David Roper also has a book titled, "The Comedy Magician's Textbook", published by David Ginn. More about family oriented magic.

It might be of interest to you.

if you want some advice on starting out then this is great. I know this isn't a book but for anyone who is interested it is really helpful.

I remember seeing David Ginn several years ago and he was very entertaining.
What do you consider David's best dvd or video?
