Linking Rings, I once had a book of life illusion that looked like a wedding invitation, Split deck - with the wedding couple, anything with candles, flowers, let you mind go wild.

Cut and restored rope using a white wedding ribbon.
Talk about tying the knot and two becoming one. Equal partners. I'm sure you can work out the patter. Anything invoving rings, or roses. |

Everything with a "romantic theme" - roses, rings (big linking rings or small vanishing rings), silk. You can make funny routines with borrowed coins, or something with small balls (maybe in white color). Oh, and something with doves is always a good idea.

Here is a real kicker that I use for my weddings. I work many weddings and present the couple with a fine bottle of champagne using magic. I do a silk explosion and then make it appear from the bunched up scarves. You will get the jaws hitting the floor when you do this along with a long and generous applause. It never fails. I like the linking wedding rings trick also. Keep to the stage or parlor stuff and keep it short, sweet, and flashy. Remember, it's not your show but the B&G's. Don't try to steal the wind from their sails. Just curious but are you a DJ also? I know the DJ's usually MC the banquet too. Have fun!

How about:
White mouth coil appearing bouquet or any flower trick such as botania or garden of flowers. If the crowd is a little rowdy: The bra trick w/ a brides maid ( use careful judgement here.) Jumbo split deck w/ the B&G Sponge balls w/ a cascade of mini balls as a "climax" just some thoughts...

Two items that always go over well at wedding receptions are The Jumbo Comedy Split Deck (The two half cards are diferent but they match the prediction card) as I use this as a marriage compatibility test.
The next is "Anniversary Waltz" A close up card effect which can be done in a dancef floor/platform type set up. And, I hate to say it but, the Square Circle can be used to produce many new couple related items. Wink, Wink. S. Patrick PS: I am a magician and a DJ, and have done a few combo shows. |
