Actually, my parents chose my name. (I know...)
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

My real name is Vincenzo Marini. When I was a Youngster growing up in New York City my friends called me vinny. Now that I am long in the tooth, here on the Café I am known as the godfather of magic.

Because I'm a christian and angel means messenger of God and well seven is a number I have history with. And also it is the first screen name I invented and I use it everywhere.

I originally went by my high school nickname, Sk8rdave, since I wanted anonymity. However, when I started to run into old friends that I had lost touch with on the Café I decided to go with my real name and a more accurate avatar so they would recognize me.

Ah, but how many of us have more than one log in name? and is this identifiable to the techies who maintain this site?
Seems to me from recent observations (not participations) that this is not the case. |

Years ago I was trying to design a logo for my magic to place on business cards and things like that. My real last name is spelled how most spell it. JACKSON.
I turned the "cks" into an "X" because in the logo I made one of the lines in the "X" was a magic wand. Sometime later I won a magic competition and the certificate said Ron Jaxon. So I just kind of kept it that way. So that's the story behind my Username here and my stage name. It's kind of silly because it sounds no different. Ron Jackson/Jaxon |

I was doing tricks for a big group of fellow teenage guys, and two of them stared at me in awe. One said, "He's... he's like a pirate." To which the second added, "Yeah, a gypsy pirate." Why they said this, and what compelled them to do so, I will never know, but I liked the sound of it. They were probably on drugs.

"How'd you do that?" ... "Very carefully." |
