Hey everyone!

I'm Jason and I've been lurking around these forums for over a year now, and I finally decided to join. I have been performing card magic for a little over a year now and can't get enough of it! I also am a huge fan of flourishes/XCM. I hope to really improve my magic by hanging out around here.

Plan on seeing more of you in the future.

Hey Jason, welcome to the Café. I would love to start getting more proficient in XCM. Are you very good at it?

Anyway, I look forward to talking with you more.

That's pure opinion man, but I'll let you judge that. I have some vids at http://www.ewizardmagic.com/videos.html that you can check out.

Cool vids, Jason. What XCM source do you feel helped teach you the most? Anything by Tudor?

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

As for a good source for XCM...hmmm...there are probably 2 things you should definately buy. #1 Jerry's Enclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes at flourishman.com . This book is jammed packed with creative moves and concepts.

#2 Brian Tudor's Generation X , or Generation Extreme when it comes out. This is your source for fast and furious flourishes. Generation Extreme will have better teaching than Generation X. You will be able to get G extreme at penguinmagic.com when it comes out.

Even though those products may be very nice and satisfactory, the best way to improve in XCM and flourishes is to watch other people's over the internet. What's nice about flourishes it that you can slow down the footage and learn the moves, compared to magic where all of the moves are invisible. So around 75% of the material I perform came from watching people's videos.

How long have I been doing XCM and flourishes...well it's kinda hard to pick a day and say I started there. The first thing I ever learned in all of magic was the Charlier Cut, which is a flourish. But I started noticing myself practicing flourishes ALOT around 5 or 6 months ago, so not very long I guess.

Oh, I also have a quick question...

My avatar keeps disappearing and I have to manually replace it. why is this happening?

Is penguin the ones producing Generation Xtreme, do you know? I know that I can get Generation X in my store for my customers, but if Penguin is producing the Xtreme version, that would mean my main distributor is probably not going to carry it.
